The Town That Dreaded Sundown In 1946 the joy and relief at the ending of World War II and happiness over the post-war boom of new prosperity was destroyed for the residents of the small Texas-Arkansas border town of Texarkana by a series of traumatic experiences which they remember even now, some 30 years later.
