The Ninth Configuration Crouched deep in a forest of evergreen pines, far from any signs of civilization is Center Eighteen. Few know of its existence or the Pentagon research being conducted within. Confined to the center are a group of high-ranking military officers, all of whom have had ominous and unnerving mental breakdowns. All are under the control of Colonel Kane, a brilliant, yet strangely unorthodox psychiatrist.
